L.A. Rising at the L.A. Coliseum was today and it was pretty damn incredible. Full sets for each of the bands instead of the usual shortened ones in events like this. Music with a message.

And for all the hundreds of shows I’ve seen, I’ve never seen Rage Against the Machine. I’ve missed them at least a half a dozen times and I’m beyond glad that I finally got the chance. Shouted the lyrics the whole way through, fist in the air, etc etc, like I was 16 instead of 36. Of course, my feet hurt like hell, but rebellion comes at a price.
